Size Guide

Choose your Akh Era thobe with the fit and length you prefer. Our Emirati and Moroccan styles use different size labels, so check the options on the individual product page before ordering.

Find your size system

  • Emirati thobes: numbered sizes 56, 58, 60 and 62.
  • Moroccan and hooded thobes: letter sizes S, M, L and XL.
  • Akhi kufis: flexible-band styles. Contact us if you need help checking the fit for your head measurement.

Size labels alone do not confirm a garment’s chest width or finished length. Do not treat numbered sizes as verified measurements or convert them directly to S–XL.

Measure a thobe you already like

Lay the garment flat without stretching it. Use a flexible tape measure and record your measurements in centimetres or inches.

  1. Length: measure from the highest point of the shoulder beside the neckline straight down to the hem.
  2. Chest width: measure straight across from one underarm to the other. This is a flat width, not a body circumference.
  3. Shoulders: measure across the back between the shoulder seams, if the garment has defined shoulder seams.
  4. Sleeve: measure from the shoulder seam to the sleeve edge. Note whether you want short or long sleeves.

Use model notes as a reference

Product pages include model height and worn size where available. These help you picture the length, but body proportions and preferred fit vary. A model’s height is not a size recommendation.

Need help choosing?

Email akheracollections@gmail.com with the product name, your height, your preferred fit and the measurements of a thobe you like. Ask us to confirm the garment measurements for your chosen size before ordering.

For a kufi, measure around your head where the band will sit and include that measurement in your message. For a prayer mat, ask us to confirm its length and width if you have a particular space in mind.
